Volunteers Welcome! |
Help Us Give JRT's A Second Chance Consider Fostering a Jack Russell We are always in need of foster homes. Unfortunately, we get more dogs in that need foster homes than we have foster homes and as a result, many have to be turned away. If you are terrier savvy and have the room in your home and heart, consider being a JRT foster. Please be aware that a large percentage of dogs that need foster are being surrendered by persons who were uneducated about the breed when they obtained the dog. By the time we are contacted, the dog must be removed immediately from their home because the dog is not compatible with children, cats or other dogs and the family does not have the resources to remedy the situation. Other Volunteer Opportunities
We occasionally
have need of volunteers to hand out information at dog days at
public gatherings. We do not attend alot of these because the
nature of the Jack Russell Terrier does not lend itself to being
just an anyone can manage it type of dog. People who have special
skills that might benefit the club are welcomed to volunteer
them, but primarily we need people who can foster dogs, veterinarians
who will donate services and donations to cover veterinarian
services.
