PNWJRTNR helps Jack Russell Terriers find new homes when the homes they have currently aren’t working out for them. Dogs up for adoption come from all types of different situations. Some may have issues with other pets in the household, some may be given up due to allergies in the home, some may be put up for adoption when their current family’s life style changes, some are dogs that have been found and have not been able to be reconnected with their previous owners. Some are well trained, well behaved animals with lots of love and affection to give a new family. Many need behavior modification and training to learn new acceptable standards of sharing a life with their new families. Rescue dogs can be wonderful dogs for a family. Most come with a known history of behavior and vet records. Any available information is provided about the dog’s personality and traits. Some have been assessed by PNWJRTNR volunteers. They come in all sizes, ages and colors, from young dogs to more mature steady dogs. Rescuing a dog that has been placed for adoption has the added reward that you are helping a good dog find a home that might not otherwise find one, in a world that has too many dogs. We are very careful about the homes our Jack Russell’s go to, to help insure their success and your happiness. We place our dogs primarily in the Pacific Northwest. A home visit is required and we ask that you do some research into the breed itself. Jack Russell’s require a little more as a dog, but they give a little more too. We are a completely volunteer organization, and solely funded by donations . Please continue on to the other pages of our site if you’re interested in adopting , fostering, volunteering . |
